Brooke has always been interested in the body. Very early on, she learned the importance of maintaining the physical body. Growing up in Massachusetts, she started playing ice hockey from the age of three and continued to be involved in many other athletic activities: from gymnastics and dance, to martial arts and volleyball, and more. In high school, she began studying nutrition and the role it played in keeping the body in top shape. Along with exercise and nutrition, she quickly realized that the wellbeing of the mind was just as vital. Brooke fell in love with yoga and the way it incorporated the body, mind, and spirit.Â
After being a full time nanny for several years, she decided to follow in her family members' footsteps, pursuing a career in teaching, graduating from USF in 2014 with a bachelors degree in elementary education. She taught grades K-3 at a Title 1 school and came to the eye opening realization of the amount of work stress prevalent in the environment among her fellow educators. She wanted to help and knew there had to be a way to lower stress levels and improve overall quality of life. That summer, she enrolled at the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy, learning even more about the body, mind, and spirit and realizing again that this field of work was her passion. Brooke is also a certified personal trainer. She plans on completing her yoga teaching training in the near future. Her goal is to help people live their best life- healthy, stressless, pain-free, fulfilling, peaceful, and happy!
